The excitement and enthusiasm factor just elevated this year with the commencement of the all new edition of Mr. India 2016 with its first city audition held in Bangalore. The audition witnessed over 100 participants who came from all over the city. The audition was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru’s chic and glamorous venue SKY DECK which came on board as the Hospitality and Venue partner and its beautiful rooftop view of the skyline set the pace for the auditions.
The auditions were judged by an expert panel including the likes of Prasad Bidapa (Show Director), Rahul Rajashekharan Nair (Mr. India 2015 – 1 st runner up) and Noyonita Lodh (Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2014 – Miss Universe India).
Prasad says, “I am thrilled that Mr. India 2016 auditions kicked off in Bengaluru. The 11 boys selected are youngsters aspiring to climb that ladder of success on the platform that Mr. India affords. I am looking forward to the Delhi and Mumbai auditions.”
Rahul says, “Had a great time judging the auditions. After several rounds, we managed to shortlist 11 boys from 60 to 70 of the finest men from the south. Feels nostalgic as this is the same platform I started my journey 15 months back”.
Noyonita says “Extremely talented guys with great looks and physique and I am hoping that we have another Mr.India like Rohit Khandelwal making us proud at the Mr. World pageant”
The selected guys will be fast-tracked to the final round of auditions happening in Mumbai on 13 th November, 2016. Once the finalists are selected, they will be undergoing rigorous training and grooming sessions by renowned experts from the fashion and entertainment industry.
Recently Rohit Khandelwal, the first Asian from Hyderabad, who started his journey by winning Mr. India 2015 went on to win the Mr. World 2016 pageant this year. We are aiming to have more winners like him in the future who will make our country proud.
