Motherhood Hospital Kharghar conducted a free health check up camp at Kharghar police station where all female employees were screened.
A gynec consulting and counselling was provided. Their Sugar, height, weight and BMI was calculated. Dietician counseled them how to take care of their dietary needs even on their duty. How to mantain their BMI. Diet instructions so that they are not deprived of any vitamins . They were also given coupons for free consultation at motherhood and also discounts on all pathological test and also ultrasound. Coupons were also distributed to the male police and office bearers for their wives and their family members to avail these services at Motherhood Hospital, Kharghar.
Dr Surabhi Siddhartha, Consultant gynaecologist,Motherhood hospital Kharghar, says,”Police is an important part of our society and it is our duty to take care of them as they take of us. Their health is neglected as they go on unscheduled duty hours. The Importance of keeping oneself hydrated was discussed as they are more prone to Urinary Tract infections and fungal infections due to their work schedules and improper and irregular use of washrooms. Also to solve their issues of bone aches basic need of calcium and Vitamin D was highlighted to them”.
