4 professional storytellers were discussing story genres most loved by children and immediately all of them decided it would be Scary! Aparna Jaishankar, Shylaja Sampath, Lavanya Prasad and Sowmya Srinivasan formed the KathayVaanis and ensure carefully curated and crafted stories for all.
Artist Bio’s:
Aparna Jaishankar left her corporate HR life to pursue a career in the world of arts. Her love for stories in all forms and her penchant for drama in general, drew her to the world of storytelling and theatre. She works with children under her banner ‘kAhini – What’s your story?’
Shylaja Sampath is a qualified and an, experienced teacher, storyteller, theatre artist and soft skills trainer based in Bangalore. She is also an active toastmaster. She works under a story telling initiative called Ninety Bold Tales.
Lavanya Prasad has been using stories for many years now to connect, train and empower children and adults alike. She uses music and dance extensively in storytelling and runs Tale’scope, her venture since 2014.
Sowmya Srinivasan has been telling stories from 2008 to people of all ages. She uses storytelling and theatre techniques to develop creative thinking in children through a venture called SoulSpace Storytell. She uses storytelling, theatre techniques, and craft to facilitate creative thinking.
